Shmuel (Sammy) Revel is the special envoy for Energy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel and the former Ambassador of Israel to Cyprus.

He served as Head of Bureau of the European Division, DCM of the Embassy in Paris, DCM of the Israeli mission to the EU in Brussels and was the first Head of Mission of Israel in Doha, Qatar.

He published two books: on the relations between Israel, Qatar and the Gulf and on Europe – Israel relations.
